* Kyllä aion! Yes I am!

* Lasten kanssa kyllä - taitaa lapset leipoa ja äiti vahtii uunia With my children - they do the actual cookies and I guard the oven

* Kyllä aion, se on yksi joulupöydän "pakkoja" Yes I am, it's one of the "musts" at Christmas dinner

* Lanttulaatikko on parasta, toki muitakin laatikoita syön

9.Aiotko laulaa joululauluja? Are you going to sing Christmascarols?
* Uskoisin näin! I believe so!

10.Aiotko juoda viiniä? Are you going to have wine?
* En juo promillisia juomia lainkaan. I don't drink anything with alcohol in it.

11.Missä vietit viime vuoden joulun? Where did you spend last years Christmas?
* Kotona - siellä entisessä kodissa. At home - the former one

12.Mikä on ensimmäinen muistamasi joulu? What is the first Christmas you remember?
* vuodesta ei ole hajuakaan, mutta silloin käytiin Nairobissa syömässä muiden suomalaisten kanssa ja jostain kumman syystä äidillä tai isällä oli aina jäänyt jotain sisälle, kun veljieni kanssa istuttiin jo autossa... Don't have a clue about the year, but we live in Nairobi and went out to eat with the other Finns living there. And for some reason or the other after I got into the car with my brothers mum or dad always "forgot" something inside...

13.Entä ensimmäinen muistamasi joululahja? What's the first Christmas present you remember?
* Se keltainen polkupyötä tulee nyt mieleen. The yellow bicycle comes to mind.

14.Kun olit lapsi, koristelitko kuusen? As a child, did you decorate the Christmastree?
* Aattona tuotiin aina kuusi sisälle ja eihän joulusta tullut mitään, jos ei kuuseen saanut omaa panostaan antaa! We always had our Christmas tree brought in on Christmas eve and Christmas wouldn't have been anything without contributing to the decoration.

15.Onko jotain, mitä toivoit monta vuotta joululahjaksi, muttet koskaan saanut? Is there something you wished for for many years, but didn't get it?
* Eipä tule nyt mieleen, ilmeisesti ei, kun on vain mukavia muistoja :D Can't remember, probably not, since I only have good memories :D

16.Tuleeko teille vielä joulupukki? Does Santa Claus still visit you?
* Eipä se pukki meillä enää käy. Kaksi joulua tässä jo ollut, että pukki on kerennyt lahjat tuomaan kuusen alle, kun ollaan oltu saunassa :O No, he doesn't. It's been 2 Christmases now, that Santa has managed to visit us while we have been in sauna :O

17.Miten uskosi joulupukkiin lopahti? How did your belief in Santa Claus end?
* Vaikkei joulupukki enää meillä käy niin kyllä minä häneen uskon! Eikös se ole niin, että kun pysyy jonkinlainen lapsenmielisyys, niin joulupukkiinkin saa uskoa ian kaiken. Even though Santa doesn't visit us any more I still believe in him! Don't you think that if you have a bit of a child mind in you, you can believe in Santa for always.

18.Pelkäsitkö pienenä joulupukkia? Were you afraid on Santa when you were small?
* Enpä tainnut hirmusti pukkia pelätä, kun lauloin aina hälle jotain mukavaa :D I don't think so, since I always sang something for him :D

19.Pelkäätkö joulupukkia nykyään? Are you scared of Santa now?
* En. No

20.Onko täällä kilttejä lapsia? Are there good children here?
* Kyllä. Yes

21.Katsotko jouluisin jouluelokuvia? Do you watch Christmasmovies during Christmas?
* Kyllä, aika usein on lapsille tullut hankittua joku jouluinen elokuva, jota ollaan sitten pyhien aikana katsottu porukalla. Yes, very often my children have received a Christmas movie which we have all watched together.

22.Jos katsot niitä, mitä? If you watch them, what kind?
* Jaa, Samu Sirkan joulu, Nalle Puhin jouluisia juttuja yms. Ja varmasti on tullut katsottua telkusta tulevia jouluisia elokuvia Winnie the Pooh at Christmas and films like that. And for sure there are Christmasfilms on telly which we watch.

23.Entä katsotko joulukalentereita telkkarista? Do you watch Christmascalenders on tv?
* Tänä vuonna en ole "kerennyt"... haven't had the time this year...

24.Onko sinulla joulukalenteria? Minkälainen? Do you have a Christmascalender? What kind?
* Eipä ole, mutta eiköhän nuo lasten kalenterit korvaa äitinkin, sillä aina välillä niistä "eksyy" äiten suuhunkin jotain makoisaa :D No I don't, but I do get something sweet from my childrens' calenders every now and then :D

25.Onko sinulla mitään tiettyjä joululauluja, joita tykkäät kuunnella? Do you have special Christmas songs you like to listen to?
* "Maa on niin kaunis", "Jouluyö, juhlayö" "Silent night, Holy Night*

26.Lempijoululaulusi? Your favourite Christmas song?
* Jouluyö, juhlayö "Silent night, Holy Night*

27.Esiinnyitko koskaan koulun joulujuhlissa? Did you ever perform in Christmasplays at school?
* Esikoulusta 9.lle asti joka vuosi!  From kindergarden to the 9th grade.

28.Jollet, miksi et? If not, why not?

29.Miten tahtoisit viettää joulusi? Kenen kanssa? Missä? How would you like to spend your Christmas? With whom? Where?
*  Lapsuuden muistoissa elellen haluaisin niin viettää joulun lasteni kanssa Mombasassa, paikalla vois olla vaikka äiti ja iskäin. Going back to childhood, I'd really like to take my children to Mombasa to spend Christmas there and my mum and dad could also be there!

30.Onko teillä varsinainen joulu 24. vai 25.päivä? Do you celebrate Christmas on the 24th or the 25th?
* Kyllä Yes

31.Pidätkö joulusta? Miksi? Do you like Christmas? Why?
* On niin mukavaa katsella lasten intoa ja tietty oma halu tehdä vuoden suurimmasta juhlasta (heti lasten synttäreiden jälkeen) sellainen perheen rauhallinen ja juhlava on lähellä sydäntäni. Tykkään joulukuusesta, sen valoista ja koristeista, jouluruuasta, jotenkin joulussa on tiettyä erityistä rauhallisuutta, josta nautin suunnattomasti.
* It's so nice to see my children enjoy and ofcourse my own will to make the biggest festive of the year (right after my children's birthdays!) a peaceful and festive celebration. I love the Christmas tree, it's lights and decorations, Christmas food. Somehow Christmas has a certain peacefulness in it, which brings me joy so much!
